Click to enlarge The railway bridge across Oakenshaw Lane. The line (now dismantled) linked this the old Midland line with the main East Coast spur line from Doncaster to Leeds. Both lines are still in use today, although only the East Coast Line is regularly used for passenger trains. Just the other side of the bridge on the right, the Sandal Curves public footpath connects Oakenshaw Lane with Sandal & Agbrigg Railway Station. © John S. Sargent, July 2000.
