The New Inn, basking in the warm, agreeable weather that usually favours Walton.

A public house is usually one of the mainstays of English village life
- along with the church and post office. The New Inn is a "traditional
18th Century House" - the only pub in the village, with a
lounge bar and restaurant. The pub has a good range of beers and lagers including a fine selection of cask ales.
There were a number
of ale houses in years gone by, but, in these more sober times,
they have long since vanished. There is a social club nearby and Charlie's Bar at Walton Hall (a reference to Charles Waterton, a teetotaller). |
