A 1940's Charity Night held on 6th November 2009 at St Paul's Church, the Balk, Walton, in aid of St Paul's Church and Yorkshire Air Ambulance raised £513 from the sale of tickets and donations.
A further collection on the night raised another £81 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A Fancy Dress prize of a three-course Sunday Lunch for two people at the New Inn, Walton was won by C. Tweedie. The prize was generously donated by Tommy the Landlord.
Entertainment was the "Andrew Sisters" from Crofton and Altofts (otherwise known as D. Jordan, M. Westmoreland and B. Holmes) - a sight and sound to behold!
There was a sing-along, dancing and luxury war-time tucker. All food was generously provided by 5 members of the church - "The Famous Five".

Girlie Evening
The church was the venue for another successful charity event that raised some £100 each for Macmillan Cancer Support and St. Paul's Church, Walton.
Thanks to all those who gave so willingly of their time and effort to make it a success - and many thanks to all those who donated so generously to these worthy causes.
