Public Footpath no. 17, Walton runs alongside the lane before veering left to pass around the back of Brockswood Court. Stay on the lane to visit Walton Hall.
There is public access across the golf course at the far end of the car park behind the hotel annexe via Footpath no. 18, Walton. Footpath no. 15, Walton, part of the Transpennine Trail, passes underneath the bridge along the croute of the Barnsley Canal.
