2. Thomas WATERTON was baptized on 12 Apr 1738.1 He was born in 1738. He demolished Walton Hall and built the present building. Of the original only the Water Gate remains in 1767. He was buried on 19 Mar 1805 in St. Helen's Church, Sandal Magna, Wakefield, West Riding of Yorkshire.1 He died in 1805 in Walton Hall, Walton, Wakefield, West Riding of Yorkshire. Father of Squire Charles WATERTON. Thomas WATERTON and Anne BEDINGFIELD were married in 1780.1

3. Anne BEDINGFIELD died in 1819 in Park Place, Liverpool.5 Daughter and heiress of Edward Bedingfield, county of Norfolk.1,6 Daughter and heir of Edward Bedingfield of Oxburgh, Norfolk. Children were:

Squire Charles WATERTON The Naturalist.

ii.

Thomas WATERTON was born on 14 Jun 1785.7 He died in 1854.7 Thomas (the brother of Charles the Naturalist) was at Stonyhurst College 1796 - 1800. He settled in Rouen, France. He was unmarried.

iii.

Edward WATERTON was born in Sep 1798.7 He died in 1845.7 Edward, brother of Charles the Naturalist, was at Stonyhurst College 1808 - 1815. He emigrated to New Zealand, where his hobby was botany. He was unmarried.

iv.

William WATERTON was born on 12 Dec 1794.7 He died on 18 Jan 1852.7 William, brother of Charles the Naturalist, joined the Society of Jesus.

v.

Christopher WATERTON was born on 17 Dec 1787.7 He was at Stonyhurst 1796 - 1802.7 He died young in the Paumaron, British Guiana (now Guyana) of fever.7
