About Walton
Protected Trees

Walton is separated from the City of Wakefield by Green Belt land. In 2004 an attempt was made to convert some of that land for use by a local sports club - the club's land in Sandal Magna was to be used for a housing development.

So far, the narrow strip of Green Belt protected land has remained in place and Walton is still a village separated by farmland from other settlements.
